Construction started on the wetland. Funding for this wetland was provided by the Environmental Protection Agency Region 7, through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources under Section 319 of the Clean Water Act. Funding support was also provided by the Allen P. and Josephine B. Green Foundation.

Wetland Construction

A pipe and water control structure will allow us to regulate the wetland's water depth throughout the year.

Construction of Berm

The wetland construction is now finished, and the shoreline will be seeded with native wetland plants including Indiangrass, blue vervain and green bulrush.
